.Os autores apresentam uma atualização dos conceitos relacionados à etiopatogenia, diagnóstico clínico e exames subsidiários, diagnóstico diferencial , tratamento e prognóstico da doença óssea de Paget . Apresentam as principais características clínicas e radiológicas em 42 pacientes seguidos nas disciplinas de Reumatologia da FCM-UNICAMP e da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul . Discutem as eventuais complicações e as principais perspectivas terapêuticas.
