Abstract

The present research had the purpose of collecting data that could contribute for the explanation of a subject that is not very much studied in our country: the couple separation and its consequences for the children. Twenty-three adolescents from Brasilia answered a questionnaire which included questions about how they felt at the time of their parents separation, which were the good things and the unpleasant things that happened as a consequence of the parents separation. The answers were qualitatively and quantitatively analysed and compared with the results of previous studies.
