EFFECTS OF A CREATIVITY TRAINING PROGRAM IN NORMAL PUPILS

The objective of the present study was the investigation of the effects of a Creativity Training Programin the abilities of creative thought in pupils of a normal school and in the task of elaborating activities an suggesting behaviors to be presented by the teacher with the objective of improving the students creativity. The sample consisted in 38 female pupils members of the third grade of a private normal school settled in Brasília (FederalDistrict). Seventeen pupils have taken part in a program and the others ones have formed the Control Group. In order to make an evaluation of the effects of that program tests of creative thinking were used. It was also asked that the subjects relate activities and behaviors that the teacher should present in order to enhance the improvement of students creativity. The results obtained suggested that the program has contributed to the im[1]provement of the creative thought in pupils of a normal school that have taken part in it. It has also favoured the task of suggesting behaviors that can enhance the expression of creativity.
