Continent and contents: a perception about the psychotherapist's productions

Abstract

Two papers from a sarne psychotherapist- a poem anda clinic report-were analyzed from the continent-contcnts conception. This is a Bion's abstraction over kleinian concepts about internai world and objects. They are used here to understand some facts ofthe relation therapist- patient. The focus goes to the way the meanings are changed between thcm, as the therapist's productions show us. This give usa comprehension about the therapeutic relationship, on the concern about emotional and symbolic changes that makes the linkage between patient and therapist.
