This essay on nutrition education raises up some empirical questions about the cultural aspects of food, which emerged from the analysis of our experience with several social groups in the practice of nutrition education. The objective is to think about the theme and theorize it, connecting interpretaüons oÍculturat images about food which have been built and about the nutrition in Brazilian society.
