Abstract
Entre as instituições sociais, a mais negligenciada como objeto de estudos teóricos e empíricos pela Psicologia Social tem sido a escola. O ensino como de fato ocorre nas escolas. o professor, seus papéis e expectativas, o aluno, sua personalidade e aspirações, quase nunca são tomados como tema de uma investigação científica, pelos psicólogos sociais.
