CIÊNCIA E AVALIAÇÃO MORAL: SUBSIDIOS PARA UM ENFOQUE UTILITARISTA

Abstract

This text puts foward three thesis concerning the question of the relationship between Science and Ethics. First, it is said that
the development of Science and Technology does not always represents the 'good' for humanity. Secondly. it is argued that
the uses of new discoveries in Science and Technology can produce tension and conflicts that result in suffering of the human being. Thirdly, it is argued that there is no solution in the attempt to restrain the development and the uses of Science and Technology. For this always results in more suffering than that it economizes.
