Sustainable entrepreneurs can be seen as agents capable of identifying problems and opportunities within existing economic structures and as motivators that inspire sustainable behavior. The objective of this study was to examine, through a bibliographic survey, the trends in publications on sustainable entrepreneurial businesses. In this study, 301 articles were retrieved from the Web of Science (WoS) database and the convergence between entrepreneurship and sustainability was analyzed using a qualitative approach. Sustainability and innovation have been widely discussed in entrepreneurship studies, and sustainable business has emerged as a recurring theme in the academic literature. It was possible to observe that research in entrepreneurship and sustainability has been converging towards sustainable entrepreneurship that promotes the understanding and efficient operation of existing and new businesses, as well as the elimination of degradation environmental. In addition to generating new businesses and improving existing ones, sustainable entrepreneurship helps rebuild the economy and meet social, economic and environmental goals.
